Hi, my name is Pettina. I have had supply problems myself this time around with my little man loosing too much weight in the irst 2 weeks. I am determined to breast feed. With number one i had severe PND and gave up at 4 weeks, No.2 had medical problems and was unable to suck feed so i expressed for 3 weeks until i started to not get much milk and then formuls until she passed away at almost 6 weeks. NOw with no.3 im determined.
I have been making sure i have been drinking lots an expressing first thing in the morning after his feed and last thing of an evening. I found it to help alot. Nathaniel at 5.5 weeks is now making some good weight gain. ( when the problem first occcured i expressed after every feed for 2-3 days as suggested by the Early childhood nurse)
